Our Story

I.D.AL srl is a company specialized in the selection and distribution of high quality Made in Italy food products.

The company’s business was born from the entrepreneurial initiative of Vincenzo Abbatiello when, in the early 1950s in Durazzano, in the province of Benevento, he started collecting milk and subsequently distributing and selling it. Thanks to the support of his family, Vincenzo Abbatiello subsequently decides to expand the range of products selected and distributed in the dairy sector, establishing direct commercial relationships with production sites throughout Italy.

The passion for food, the knowledge of the production plants and the competence gained in the selection of the various products push the I.D.AL company to create its own brand in 1988. Originally the IDAL brand products only include a line of DOP cheeses, but over the years the company decides to expand its range and is currently present in 9 agri-food sectors (dairy, salami, fruit and vegetables, pasta and rice, preserves, legumes, products bakery, ready meals and drinks) and handles around 1,700,000 kg of products per year, thanks to the daily commitment of 200 employees.

Today, IDAL brand products are present in over 2,700 stores, located in the four regions where the company mainly operates: Campania, Molise, Puglia and Basilicata.
